SAUNA THEATRE

Sauna Theatre is the UK’s first purpose built sauna arts centre, and the UK’s largest sauna. It seats 80 people and features state-of-the-art lighting and surround sound.

Sauna Theatre will open its doors for the first time in August 2026 as part of Summerhall Arts’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe line-up with a programme of Aufguss, rave, ritual, theatre, literature, music and more.

Theatre Sauna is the first project from my new company Sauna Sessions Arts Club which I founded with the visionary designer Lucy Osborne. We have previously collaborated on multiple award-winning shows for theatres and opera houses across the UK and internationally and created Roundabout – the world’s first pop-up, plug-and-play theatre.

Sauna Sessions Arts Club fuses the extraordinary powers of heat and art. Sauna is really good for you. There are tons of physical and mental health benefits. It relaxes, destresses and detoxifies. Art and culture is also really good for you. Stimulating your mind by listening, watching, laughing and learning helps you be healthy and happy.
